Reenergizing our Focus on Hope...
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital® continues as Woman's Life National Cause for two more years
In 1983, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital was introduced to members as the Woman's Life Insurance Society National Cause. That meant that members throughout the Society would be combining their efforts to raise funds for this compelling cause.
Since 1983, members working together in their local chapters, with the assistance of the Society's matching funds program, have raised over $905,000 for St. Jude. Every year, chapters have continued to support St. Jude through local bake sales, card parties, raffles and other fundraisers. Every year the funds raised by members have helped provide hope resources for children of St. Jude.
As we now begin our 26th year of support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, members, individually and through their chapters, are renewing their enthusiasm for this cause with the "Hope of Making it a Million Dollars" for St. Jude by August, 2010.
"Hope" is a word that is clearly embraced by all associated with the hospital. There is new hope for each child entering into the care of this amazing facility. St. Jude is focused on hope; offering real hope and helpful resources for sick children and their families. So, we too, are focused on hope as we enter into the last two years of this National Cause project for St. Jude with the "Hope of Making it a Million Dollars".

Doubling Your Donation of Hope
The "Hope of Making it a Million Dollars" campaign will run through August, 2010. The Board of Trustees has approved matching donations up to $100 received from any member for this cause. Members can make a donation by check or right here, on-line.
Check: Just make your check payable to Woman's Life Charitable Fund, mail it to the Home Office and your donation will be doubled! If you would like your donation to be in tribute to someone, please include with your check a note advising if the donation is "in honor of" or "in memory of" and the name of that person.

It's A Mystery
Members of Chapter 702 North Street, Michigan held a "Do Not Open" raffle at their Christmas celebration. Members and guests purchased tickets at the party for a chance to win a mystery gift. This quick and easy project raised, with matching funds, $100 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
