Rewarding Experience
The January business meeting for Chapter 818 Algonac, Michigan included installation of their 2010 officers. It can be challenging to serve as a chapter officer, but it can also be a very rewarding experience. The members of this chapter look ready to handle whatever comes their way as they work together with their officers to make a difference in their community.
Community Warmth
Members of newly chartered Chapter 831 Richland, Michigan collected coats to be donated to local people in need during this cold and snowy winter. This is just one of the many ways this chapter plans to make their community an even better place to live. With fun events planned, like their upcoming Euchre Tournament, the members of this girlfriends' club are excited to be helping others while they have fun.

Chapter 703 Indianapolis, Indiana member Theresa Peck completed her Girl Scout Gold Award project in December with the support of her chapter members. Theresa collected items from local businesses to create baskets for people in need from the Hancock County community. Congratulations Theresa!
Busy, Busy, Busy
Woman's Life Chapter 814 St. Clair, Michigan had a packed agenda for their January business meeting. They welcomed Edie Walters from the Home Office Sales Department and her presentation of Annuities 101, which covers the basics of Flexible Premium Deferred Annuities. They reviewed the results of their recent activities and then discussed what projects they plan to take on in 2010. These busy girlfriends are doing a lot of good in their community.
Christmas Spirit
Members of Woman's Life Chapter 745 Almont, North Dakota held their first Children's Christmas Party in December. Each child got to make a Christmas scroll ornament and then had the opportunity to "shop" for a gift for their mom. Chapter members provided music, gift wrapping and a reading of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas. Participants then braved the cold to take their caroling out into the community to spread their Christmas spirit even further.
Festival of Trees
Members of Chapter 701 Croswell, Michigan created a beautiful Irish-themed Christmas tree for Port Huron Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees. Their efforts were recognized by the judges with a well-deserved Most Artistic Award. A beautiful part of this community fundraiser, their tree added a wee bit of charm to the festive holiday atmosphere.
