With one member playing the piano, everyone sings along to their "old-time favorites". Chapter members provide snacks too, and everyone enjoys an afternoon of fun and social interaction with friends.
Chapter 814 St.Clair, Michigan, "A Girlfriends' Girlfriend", held their recent meeting at The River Crab restaurant, where they shared the stories of their Random Acts of Kindness campaign. Members performed random kind acts like buying a Slurpee for a Comcast worker, giving a grocery store gift card to a young couple in the store, and making an anonymous donation in a collection jar to help someone else's fundraiser. Everyone agreed that just knowing they made someone else's day a little brighter made them feel great too!
Woman's Life Chapter 836 Port Huron is a group of friends and co-workers from St. Clair County Community Mental Health. Karen Zultak spearheaded the organization of this brand new Woman's Life Chapter. Marcy Cameron, pictured on the left, is President and Susan Lewis is Treasurer. When these women learned that they could team up with Woman's Life and have their fund raising efforts matched up to $500, they felt compelled to form a Chapter. This is a match made in heaven with an emphasis on fun!
At a Quartermania Fundraiser to benefit the St. Clair County Child Abuse/Neglect Council, members of Chapter 837 Fort Gratiot, Michigan brought together friends and family to have some fun and place their bids. Bidding just a few quarters at a time, guests hoped to win one of the many great items made available by generous vendors. All their hard work paid off as they raised, with matching funds, $1,200.50, to help prevent the abuse and neglect of children in their community.
