Members of Chapter 611 Port Huron held a Valentine's Brunch at Home Office to raise funds for their Virginia E. Farmer Scholarship Fund. Offering fresh fruit, bagels, muffins and more, they raised $275.06 with matching funds which will go toward the scholarship fund.
Chapter 721 Pennville, Indiana held a "Do No Open" raffle to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The lucky winner of the drawing received a St. Jude tote bag along with some handy St. Jude trinkets. The chapter's donation of $100, including matching funds, will help us in our Hope of Making it a Million for our National Cause.
When the opportunity to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by adopting and decorating a penguin was offered, Chapter 757 Port Huron couldn't wait to get involved. Gathering at the home of Wendy and Larry Krabach on a Sunday afternoon with glue guns, glitter and an interesting assortment of accessories, chapter members got to work to create their glamorous penguin girlfriend. What a great way to have fun while helping others!
Chapter 824 Kimball, Michigan gathered at Casey's in Downtown Port Huron for a recent business meeting. Their agenda included an Annuities 101 presentation by Edie Walters from the Sales Department at Home Office. They learned the importance of starting now to save for retirement and how flexible premium deferred annuities can be a part of their planning. They also made some plans for upcoming chapter activities and shared some laughs as they relaxed together and caught up after the busy holiday season.
Chapter 800 Fort Gratiot, Michigan introduced a new and exciting fundraising event to the area to raise funds for one of their members facing extensive medical expenses. Quartermania is a high spirited auction where prizes can be won for bids of just a few quarters! Chapter 800 held a "trial event" to work out all the kinks so they'll be ready for their bigger and better Quartermania on February 22nd, at the Angry Bull restaurant.
