THAW
Members of Chapter 819 Port Huron, Michigan held their recent business meeting at the Quay Street Brewing Company in Port Huron. They enjoyed a mini girls night out as they made plans for an upcoming breakfast fundraiser to benefit THAW (The Heat & Warmth Fund). The funds they raise will help provide energy assistance for low-income households in Michigan, including elderly, unemployed, underemployed and disabled individuals who find themselves in temporary crisis.
Wine & Cheese Party
Chartered on July 12, 2010, Chapter 838 Caledonia, Michigan has heart! These busy moms are making time to have some fun and give back to their community. Their first meeting included a Wine & Cheese party and membership drive, inviting even more new members to join them in this great adventure. They have lots of creative ideas and can't wait to get involved and make a difference. Welcome to Woman's Life!
Making A Difference
The girlfriends in brand-new Woman's Life Chapter 843 Sparta, Michigan, chartered in July 2010, were brought together by their caring spirits and the desire to make a real difference in their community. They all wear many hats in life, and now they're excited to work together for the causes that are most important to all of them...and have some serious fun along the way!
NICU Hats
In April 2009, the great-grandson of a long-time member of Chapter 59 Rochester, New York was born premature, weighing one pound, three ounces. Wyatt spent more than five months in the NICU at Duke University in North Carolina. While he was in the hospital, the members of Chapter 59 learned of the need in the NICU to keep the babies' heads warm and decided they could do something to help. Since then, members have been making tiny hats to be sent to the NICU. Almost 100 of the little caps have been donated so far.
Bunco Party
The members of Woman's Life Chapter 59 Rochester, New York have been actively volunteering and supporting important causes in their community for many years, and they continue to set a great example of what a Woman's Life Chapter is all about. Recently, they held a Bunco party for the pure enjoyment of it. With 13 members and 5 guests in attendance, the fun and laughter lasted all afternoon.
Git R Done
Woman's Life is pleased to announce the charter of another new Chapter. Jennifer James is the enthusiastic Git R Done Girl that put Chapter 819 Port Huron together. Laughter, fun and community outreach will be the focus for this group of girlfriends who all work for Semco. They were inspired by the good works generated by Woman's Life Chapter 777, also started as a group of friends all employed by Semco. Welcome!
