American Cancer Society
Woman’s Life Chapter 865 “Jazzy Jewels”, Southfield, Michigan participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Walk. Supporting this cause is important to Chapter 865 members as they recognize that 2.5 million breast cancer survivors celebrated another birthday last year because individuals and groups like the Jazzy Jewels made donations in support of the American Cancer Society. They plan to continue their fundraising efforts in the future to help the survivors celebrate even more birthdays!
Recruiter of the Year
The girlfriends of Chapter 802, “Bling, Bling”, Port Huron, Michigan work hard all year, raising funds and helping local organizations and individuals in need. In December, they celebrated Christmas together at the Vintage Tavern in Downtown Port Huron. As they enjoyed a delicious lunch, they crowned member Kelly as their “recruiter of the year” for 2011 in recognition of her efforts to bring new members into the chapter. Their annual holiday celebration included Christmas-themed games accompanied by lots and lots of laughter.
Holiday Spirit
Members of Woman's Life Chapter 745 Almont, North Dakota hosted a Christmas celebration for area residents. Chapter members prepared and served a soup and brat lunch and invited Santa to come to visit with all the good boys and girls in attendance. Drawings were held with prizes for the adults that included roasts, turkeys and bags of Lutefisk, and Santa had a toy for every child. Lunch was followed by a hay ride with caroling around town to spread cheer to young and old alike.

Members of Chapter 839 Rockford, Michigan hosted a Christmas Social at Wenger's Lanes in Grand Rapids. Members and guests enjoyed pizza and beverages as they celebrated Chapter 839's awesome year of giving back and making a difference in their community. Their fundraising and volunteer efforts in 2011 put more than $3,000, along with countless hours of hands-on-service, directly into the greater Rockford community, benefiting non-profit organizations and individuals in need. Way to go Chapter 839!
