Volunteer Service Project Grant

The Society will provide seed money to help chapters perform hands-on, visible service in their communities. A grant will be provided to help cover the cost of materials and/or supplies needed to carry out a volunteer service project initiated and organized by the Woman's Life chapter subject to:

  • Grants must be applied for and approved before project starts.
  • Grants will be paid upon approval.
  • Chapters can apply for grants up to $500 per project, with a maximum of $5,000 per year per chapter for the total of all matching funds and volunteer service project grants.
  • Chapters can do multiple projects for a recipient but grants are based on costs for specific projects/work effort.
  • Minimum of 5 chapter members must work on the project.

Hillsdale Community Theatre

Hillsdale Community Theatre

Woman's Life Chapter 741 Hillsdale, Michigan used Volunteer Service Project Grant funds to build sets and make costumes for the Hillsdale Community Theatre's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Many of those involved in the production were chapter 741 members including director, Gail Mowry.


100th Birthday

100th Birthday

Woman's Life Chapter 747 Carson, North Dakota went all out this year as the city of Carson is celebrating its 100th Birthday. With the help of Volunteer Service Project Grant Funds from Woman's Life, they purchased flowers, containers, trees, shrubs and other materials. Chapter members and community volunteers planted flowers up and down Main Street and created a new Centennial Park, all helping to make the city beautiful for their summer of celebrations.


Kaitlyn's Krew

Kaitlyn's Krew

Chapter 611 Port Huron, Michigan used a Volunteer Service Project Grant to purchase water, food and snacks for "Kaitlyn's Krew" during the 24-hour Relay for Life walk in June. While some chapter members, including Kelly (shown here) took part in the walk, other members were on hand to offer refreshments along with encouragement for the walk team as they raised awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.
