The Woman's Life Woman's Leadership Development Fund has been created to enable women to participate in leadership development programs and events in order to become more engaged and confident community and chapter leaders. Unlike many other grant programs, the Woman's Leadership Development Fund awards individual grants to women to develop and strengthen their personal leadership skills.
Women who are members of Woman's Life Insurance Society and who are active in their local chapter are eligible to apply for a grant.
Grants will be awarded to enable eligible members to attend events and programs that will help to develop or strengthen their leadership skills. There are many leadership development programs and events within our member's local communities that may qualify for a grant award. Community colleges could be a particularly good resource for leadership program opportunities.
The amount of each grant will depend on each individual request; however, there is a maximum award of $500 per member. No member will be eligible to receive grants more than once in a three year period.
Grants may be used for registration or tuition fees only. Grants will be made payable to the program or event provider and will be sent to the applicant.
Grants will be awarded to eligible members for qualified programs and events based on a first come first served application process. Every grant application must be endorsed by an officer of the applicant's local chapter. Applications will be accepted throughout the calendar year until the Woman's Leadership Development Fund for that year is depleted. Applicants are encouraged to apply early in the year for grants and at least a month in advance of the desired leadership event or program.
Completed applications should be mailed to:
