“I said we’ve got the space, the theme is right there,
people will love it,” says Thibert, who is also the chap-

got paper products to match and told people to dress
up and get ready for some country dancing. Then we
were off and running.”

The theme and the dance proved to be a big hit.
Including $500 in matching funds from Woman’s
Life, the chapter raised $5,787 that night.

“I was floored,” Thibert says. “We raised that much
just in my basement!”

To help raise funds, the chapter worked with local
businesses and organizations to provide gift baskets
for a silent auction. In keeping with the theme, the
prizes included such treats as a basket of bourbons, a
wheelbarrow of wine, and handmade cowboy boots.

House of Providence provides support for minors

     100 percent dedicated to giving
        back to their community.
